Ysabel has made a full recovery from her bad stomach she had a couple of days ago & is now just over 7 weeks pregnant, so less than a fortnight to go, as the average gestation for a dog is 9 weeks & they can go 4-5 days before or after this date & pups should survive.
Dolly is now only 6 days away from 9 weeks & is now sleeping alot & has started digging her bed up all the time, this is a primeaval instinct to dig like in the wild when they would dig out a den in a bank or around the bottom of a tree, both places giving good shelter from the elements. She is looking really well in her coat & still enjoys a cuddle, as in the evening I get her lied out on my lap & watch her tummy & see the pups moving about. Oliver will leave us this week coming, to go to his new home, he will be just over 12 weeks old, his new owner asked if I could keep him on for a bit longer due to her having a comitment which was helping at a camp with children, so he has stayed a bit longer than normal. Oliver & Smudge his sister who we have kept back to stay with us are from Millies litter. They have this week had a real growth spurt & are great fun to watch & play with, they have definately inherited Mum & Dads confidence, joy for life & really loving a cuddle. I have a big day tomorrow, as my Mum lives in the annexe & was not so good a while ago, so I have put together a bring & share party tomorrow afternoon for Mum, inviting my siblings their partners, their children & partners but this alone is just 2 short of 40, so hoping for good weather & a fun afternoon catching up with everyone. We are really looking forward to seeing Ysabel and the pups. It will be worth the wait. I'm am sure you have had a wonderful family day with your mum. Having the family around is a great way lighten our spirits and make us smile.
