For those of us watching the Rugby World Cup match yesterday between South Africa and Japan, it was as if we had died and had arrived in Rugby World Cup heaven.
I was milking yesterday afternoon and as I finished up, Steve who I work for came to check everything was okay with the cows and told me excitedly that at half time Japan were leading 12 to 10. I got home and thankfully rather than eat our dinner which was ready, we put serving it on hold to see one of the biggest upset in the history of the World Cup.
What guts Japan showed, instead of going for the reasonably safe penalty which would of given them a draw with South Africa (that would of been a big shock on its own), they went for the try line and win or lose. 'To the victor belong the spoils.' Well done Japan.
I have noticed a few unsavoury comments on YouTube about some of the Japanese team not looking very Japanese. Really, when playing a nearly all white South African team. Think about it.
