A dog's life is simple, eat stuff, chase stuff, chew stuff, dig up stuff, bark at stuff, play with stuff and love you whatever stuff you're carrying around with you, in no particular order, and then sleep and dream about all that stuff.
“Humans are aware of very little, it seems to me, the artificial brainy side of life, the worries and bills and the mechanisms of jobs, the doltish psychologies we've placed over our lives like a stencil. A dog keeps his life simple and unadorned.”
― Brad Watson, Last Days of the Dog-Men: Stories
“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you,but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
― Samuel Butler
